Its simple – no matter where you live in this world, if you are into the cafe racer or Porsche lifestyle, you have probably dreamed of going to California. The roads were made for us riders.

Highway 1; a 15 hour windy road featuring canyons, rocky cliffs, redwood forests, and pristine shorelines stretches from Southern California (Mexican border) to the California/Oregon border. It’s a ride of a lifetime, especially if you are on a Cafe Racer Dreams, and a light weight, fully race prepped air-cooled Porsche 911.

Last year Jaime Colsa met Radu Muntean at Luft5 and since have become great friends. Radu, an independent car designer (Tesla Motors, GM, Ford) is a car collector, artist and all around speed freak. Amongst his treasures, a heavily modified, air cooled Porsche 911 build for the sole purpose of dominating the Mexican countryside in the yearly Targa Baja Mexico Rally. The car entered and finished all six ( 2013 – 2018) previous events. It goes by the name of ¨Virginia¨ and we were lucky enough to drive it whilst on our trip.

Aditionally, we met up with our friend Matt Ayer, owner of the first and only U.S CRD. CRD100 is a BMW R100 with an incredible titanium grey tank and an elegant burgundy custom CRD seat inspired by the iconic Porsche colour combo. Wed been in contact with him for months to talk about the possibility of expanding CRD in the USA and he was really excited to show us around his hometown of Long Beach. We thought it was a great opportunity for us to get to know other areas surrounding LA, take a good drive there, and shoot content for our social channels.

Matt and his nephew took good care of us. After an all-American lunch by the sea, we all drove to the beach where we shot cool content with the 911 and our cafe racer. We drove up and down 2nd Street and had pedestrians stop on the middle of the road to take photos and videos of us.¨Cool bike¨ and ¨Sick dude¨, where amongst the most memorable quotes. Since we all didn’t fit in the vehicles, Matt brought his 6-seat golf cart for us to go through Long Beach with. The vibe was insane!
